# Get an asset

GET https://your-protect-instance.example.com/api/rest/v2/assets/{id}

Returns the public projection of an asset, including its per-chain on-chain state in the blockchainAsset oneof once the asset has settled. While the asset is PENDING the blockchainAsset field is unset; once ACTIVE it carries the chain-specific addresses and on-chain configuration.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Path parameters

- `id` (string, required)

## Response

### 200

A successful response.

- `result` (tgvalidatordAssetResourceV2, optional) — ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- AssetResourceV2 — the asset projection returned by GetAssetV2/GetAssetsV2. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carries the common metadata plus the blockchain-specific state via BlockchainAssetV2 (mirroring v1's per-chain shape).

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

Bad Request: indicates that the server cannot or will not process the request due to something that is perceived to be a client error (for example, malformed request syntax, invalid request message framing, or deceptive request routing)

- `any`

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Unauthorized: indicates that the client request has not been completed because it lacks valid authentication credentials for the requested resource

- `any`

### 403 Forbidden Error

Forbidden: indicates that the server understands the request but refuses to authorize it

- `any`

### 404 Not Found Error

Not Found: indicates that the server cannot find the requested resource

- `any`

### 500 Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error: indicates that the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request

- `any`

### 503 Service Unavailable Error

Service Unavailable: indicates that the server is not ready to handle the request.

- `any`

## Types

### tgvalidatordAssetResourceV2

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- AssetResourceV2 — the asset projection returned by GetAssetV2/GetAssetsV2. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carries the common metadata plus the blockchain-specific state via BlockchainAssetV2 (mirroring v1's per-chain shape).

- `id` (string, optional)
- `tenantID` (string, optional)
- `version` (string, optional)
- `createdAt` (datetime, optional)
- `updatedAt` (datetime, optional)
- `label` (string, optional)
- `assetType` (string, optional)
- `status` (enum, optional) — AssetViewStatusV2 is the high-level rollup status surfaced on AssetResourceV2.
  - Allowed values: `ASSET_VIEW_STATUS_V2_PENDING`, `ASSET_VIEW_STATUS_V2_ACTIVE`, `ASSET_VIEW_STATUS_V2_FAILED`
- `blockchain` (string, optional)
- `network` (string, optional)
- `currencyID` (string, optional) — Internal currency identifier this asset is registered under.
- `name` (string, optional) — Public summary fields. Always present, regardless of chain.
- `symbol` (string, optional)
- `decimals` (string, optional)
- `contractAddress` (string, optional) — On-chain contract or token identifier when applicable. Empty for chains where the concept doesn't exist.
- `attributes` (list of tgvalidatordAssetAttributeV2, optional)
- `blockchainAsset` (tgvalidatordBlockchainAssetV2, optional)

### tgvalidatordAssetAttributeV2

- `key` (string, optional)
- `value` (string, optional)

### tgvalidatordBlockchainAssetV2

- `cantonNativeTokenAsset` (tgvalidatordCantonNativeTokenAssetV2, optional) — CantonNativeTokenAssetV2 mirrors the public surface of a Canton native token. The on-chain issuer ("instrument admin" in Canton vocabulary) is surfaced at the top level via AssetResourceV2.contractAddress.

### tgvalidatordCantonNativeTokenAssetV2

CantonNativeTokenAssetV2 mirrors the public surface of a Canton native token. The on-chain issuer ("instrument admin" in Canton vocabulary) is surfaced at the top level via AssetResourceV2.contractAddress.

- `instrumentID` (string, optional) — Identifies the Canton token. Is used as the tokenID in the WLA.
- `configuration` (tgvalidatordCantonInstrumentConfigurationV2, optional) — CantonInstrumentConfigurationV2 mirrors the on-chain instrument-configuration contract captured on the asset.

### tgvalidatordCantonInstrumentConfigurationV2

CantonInstrumentConfigurationV2 mirrors the on-chain instrument-configuration contract captured on the asset.

- `cid` (string, optional) — Contract id of the active instrument-configuration contract.
- `requireCredentials` (boolean, optional) — Whether holders must present a credential to hold the instrument.
- `paused` (boolean, optional) — Whether transfers of the instrument are paused.
- `operator` (string, optional) — Canton operator party of the instrument.
