# Staking

Use Taurus PROTECT APIs to initiate staking, monitor positions, manage rewards, and process unstaking while retaining custody and governance controls.

Staking differs across blockchains. Each network defines its own rules for delegation, lock-up periods, reward distribution, slashing conditions, and withdrawals. Review the staking model for the blockchain you are integrating before you begin.

Consult the [staking user guides](/user-guides/docs/staking) for blockchain-specific guidance.
